Good morning, today you are going to start your adventure and I hope you are ready for a fun time and ready to encounter God. My name is Ryan and I will be praying for you. Today I am praying God takes away any nervousness and replaces it with excitement and that you meet some friends today to share this experience with.
We love you and are praying you have a great first day. Remember : “Psalm 4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” If you have trouble sleeping tonight and the rest of this week. I’m praying this verse for you tonight.
Love, hugs and prayers,
Mom and Dad
And you’re off! Here’s hoping day 1 is going very well for you, your fellow campers, and your leaders! My name is Paul, and my family and I will be praying for your success this week and beyond.
Today I pray that God takes good care of you. I pray He provides you with courage, determination, open mindedness, and love. I pray that you persevere through any personal challenges you might encounter. Finally, I pray that you believe in yourself, this week and always.
We are rooting for you, bud. Have a GREAT weekend, and remember God is ALWAYS there for you!
We hope you are enjoying getting to know everyone there with you. Sounds like you are doing some pretty challenging and fun obstacles. We pray that you are busting through personal challenges and conquering your fears!
I see that you read some devotions today that dealt with controlling your anger and your reactions towards with others. These are great lessons to remember now and as you become older.
Funny, today in church we learned that God is always slow to anger – he treats everyone with love, no matter the situation. He doesn’t react in a way that can hurt people. God loves us always, and he forgives us for our sins.
We can learn a lot from God. I pray that you can learn to turn to God when you are struggling with anger or frustration. He leads by example!
Have a great night! YOU ROCK!
I read one of the updates and it sounds like you are having fun and learning lots! Persevere and keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith.
I’m so glad you get to be part of this adventure with the Ranch and hope you’re having a good time so far! I’m praying for you and know God has some great things in store for you this week. This is a great opportunity to grow and challenge yourself and I’m praying God really uses these experiences to transform you into the young man he created you to be! Keep working hard and I’ll keep praying!
I hope you have settling in and having a great time. I saw you got to hear Kevin’s testimony last night, what a powerful testimony of how God pursued him. How humbling to know that the creator of the universe loves us so much he pursues us relentlessly! I am praying today that you see how God is purusing you this week.
Have fun today!
Michael…i am so glad you are at RR. i look forward to getting to know you and look forward to our time of sharing over the next months. i hope you will make good notes in your jounal and share them when we get together. when we first met you shared some of your creative work, it was beautiful. you and God are creative. enjoy His beautiful creation. have a God time this week.
I don’t know you but I know leader Kevin from church. I pray for RR and you guys because God is still in the business of miracles. He will perform a miracle on your life if you let Him. God bless you!
Good Evening Michael, I wanted to wish you well and I wanted to remind you Ephesians 6:10 says “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” Have fun and we love you. Dad
From Michael: thanks for all your encouraging comments. I am having a great time at camp. I love you all. Say hi to Bejamin, Sammy, And Mary. How have you been doing? I hope you are having fun. See you soon.
Hope all is well out there with the group! My family and I continue to pray for your success! I hope you and your horse are getting along, and that you haven’t had to do too much clean up 🙂
I hope the young entrepreneurs that you met were an inspiration to you and helped you realize that you can do anything you put your mind and heart to – especially if you pray and trust in God.
Today I wanted to share one of my favorite scriptures. This helps me to remember to let all my fears and worries go, and to just pray to God because he will take care of us. I hope this helps you to remember that when going through tough times He always has your back! Just pray!
Philippians 4:6-7New Living Translation (NLT)
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Good morning, looks like you guys are having a good time, hopefully no one else in the group gets sick!
I volunteeer with the youth group for my church and a verse I share all the time with them is 1 Timothy 4:12:
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
Today it is my prayer that God empowers you to be a leader both there at the Ranch and also at home and school when you get back.
Hope you have a great day!
I love you. Sleep tight, don’t let the bedbugs bite 😉
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight.
A little late getting this to you today. I was super busy at work, and I must say its been a challenging week, as I’m sure it has been for you to.
I am inspired by what you and the boys are doing out there – challenging yourselves to be better. Something we can all try to do sometimes. Keep at it!
I pray that God continues to bless you and helps you reach the new goal you set for yourself. I also pray He keeps you from the illness that’s been circling the group, and if you’ve already become sick, I pray He heals you!
Take care of yourself and the others!
I’m praying for you and looking forward to seeing you tonight! I hope you are taking advantage of this time to really surrender yourself to God and let him transform your life. Take care and I’ll see you soon!
We’re praying that you are continuing to enjoy yourself, and praying that you remain open to the positive devotions and discussions your are having with your leaders. I’m sure you miss home too, and we pray that you truly value this time away to reflect and learn, and really absorb what the Lord has, and what he will continue to do, for you and your family.
Please consider all that you have accomplished so far. You are doing GREAT!
Good evening, sorry this is so late today, I was in the car all day on a work trip. I see you guys are getting ready to hit the trail tomorrow. I will be praying for you and the group that you have the energy and the determination to finish strong. One of the my favorite verses is Philipians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Keep pressing towards your goals this week and rely on God to help you reach them! I also want to encourage you to rely on your leaders and trust them. They are there to help you realize your potential and also to realize all God has done for you and wants to do through you.
Hope you have a fun day tomorrow!
Hey Michael –
You don’t know me but I wanted to drop a note to just say that I’m praying for you this week. Our good friend Kevin is one of your leaders this week and my big brother Dave is another one of your leaders.
People like me, who love our friend Kevin and my brother Dave know that our God is a God of HUGE things – in fact – things that you might think are impossible. I pray that you see His power and might and feel His unconditional love. I hope and pray that you’ll open your heart to the God of the universe this week. The Savior of the world made you uniquely in His image and loves you just as you are!!
Michael – you’re on an adventure of a lifetime this week and with God on your side, there’s nothing stopping you!!
Aren’t you getting our messages? Dad or I have posted 4 times in the past 5 days (not including this one) . Pastor Dwayne said he saw you and said you are doing well, learning and having fun. Dan let me know about the dunking your head in a horse trough. I don’t have any problems with you doing that (unless of course we had some place to go afterwards…we wouldn’t want you smelling like horse for certain activities 😉 )
Philippians 3:13b-14 “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Keep pressing on through the hard things and “run the race with endurance…” Hebrews 12:1-2. May you press on, and run with endurance the race, even when it’s hard and you don’t want to so you can win the prize at the end 🙂
Love and prayers,
From Michael: “sorry mom we have been hiking a lot without a lot of reception. I’ve been having fun and I love you all. “
Good morning, I am bummed I couldn’t make it up on Wednesday night to see everything you guys are doinr and to meet you, but I had a work trip . I hope things are going well on the trail. Today I am praying weather cooperates for you guys and that God continues to move through the group and in your hearts.
Have fun today,
Good morning, Michael!
Hope you are having a great time on the trails! I’m praying that your solo time with God was eye opening, and that you really had time to let God’s word sink in.
As you close out the last couple days with the Ranch team, just think about all that you’ve accomplished! You were able to meet great new people, learn new things, and challenge yourself. You all did amazing!
I pray that the bad weather misses you all and that you stay dry!
