  1. Hi Shane,

My name is Joel and I’ll be praying for you this week. I hope you are excited for an amazing adventure.

  2. Shane stepped up as a leader last night in a good way! Please pray that his leadership skills grow in a positive way.

  3. Hey Shane! You are a loving kid who looks out for others and has compassion for others in hard situations. Praying you have the confidence and maturity to be a leader as you start high school this year. I’m so excited to see you grow and be able to guide kids who are in your shoes as you’ll know their struggles. Also, I can’t wait to hear “touchdown Drake” and “touchdown Kibbe” at the JV games in a couple of weeks (but obviously hoping to hear touchdown Kibbe more)!

  4. Shane – Sounds like you are having a great time (and it’s only just beginning). Hope day 2 was great for you and that you are making friends and learning new things. I’ll be praying for you this week! God has an amazing week in store for you!

  5. Shane,
I am happy to hear that you beat Lee in arm wrestling! He thinks he is so tough! I also want you to know that you can have such a positive impact on others, I am praying that you use that and step up to be the leader I know you to be. Your smile is contagious! Don’t let outside distractions get in the way of hearing from God this week! You got this! Cant wait to hear all about it! Taylor and Patrick also say hello and hope you are doing good!

  6. Good Morning Shane! This is Michelle. I had the chance to meet you last night. Today, I woke up in prayer for you. I pray that open your heart to what God had in store for you this week. I know it is not easy to live by the rules, but know that there are many who believe in you. Take time to reflect and see all that your leaders are doing to guide you. I am praying you choose to have a positive experience while you are at RR.

  7. Hey Bud! I’m so glad you’re showing them how awesome you are. I agree with Becky.. Can’t wait to see you and Elijah play football. But you know who’s going to win! Im back to work again this week, so things are kind of boring around here. We miss you and can’t wait to hear what God is doing in your life. We’re are proud of the changes you’ve made this summer. Love you! Mom

  8. Morning Shane,

I can’t believe it’s Tuesday already and I’m catching up by reading all of the cool things you guys have been doing the past few days. I’ve been praying for you and find myself wondering which of the activities you like the best. You seem pretty athletic so I’m guessing anything that involves speed and coordination is something you excel at.

I pray that you will also learn some life lessons from your time this week. That you take seriously what the leaders are sharing and teaching and that you find ways to leave this week stronger mentally as well as physically and with a closer connection to God. Make the best of every day.

  9. Love seeing the pictures of you. I saw you on the paddle board. That looks awesome! Also saw pictures with your horse. What’s his name. Hope you’re having a blast. Love you!

  10. Hey Shane,
Just wanted to let you know that I’m praying for you this week ! I just wanted you to know I think you’re gonna do great things, but to do great things you’re going to need a lot of God.
Philippians 4:13- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

  11. Hey Shane,

Just a quick reminder that I’m still praying for you. Praying for your safety and good health and that you will hear what God is trying to speak to you this week. I’m not sure what you did today but I did see lots of pictures of the work you are all doing with the horses. I hope you’re enjoying that and learning lots as well.

  12. Helllllo Shane!
Your mom told me tonight where you are & that I could say hi. I’m delighted to do so, and wanted to let you know I’m praying for you. I pray for you regularly.
Sadly in life’s busyness, and us not living right in the neighborhood, you’ve not seen a lot of Tom & I. But we love you and your family, and wish you all God’s richest blessings.
I was not able to go to camp much as a kid, but loved it every time. You’ve had some great opportunities to go as a worker and a camper. And to have a horse? Yea !
May the rest of your week be great! And if there’s some not so great moments… Well, I hope something good will come out of them. 🙂

  13. Praying for you this morning as you start another new adventure. You are tough and this is a great way to show what you’re made of. We are so excited that God is working in your life this week. Love you! Mom

  14. Hi Shayne!

  15. Hey Shane.

By now you have one day on the trail in. Hope you are enjoying the adventure. Praying for safety and good weather. Hope you are still having fun.

  16. Shane.

Just looked at some awesome pics of all the guys. Standing on the bridge, hiking the trail, and having some fun in the river.

A couple short days and you’ll be done. Make the most of them. I pray that God will open your heart to what he’s trying to teach you.

    Joel

  17. One more day! Just saw on the live stream that you guys had great weather this morning. Praying for your last day today. May God reveal himself to you in many new and powerful ways. Love you. Mom

  18. Shane!!!

What an incredible walk you’ve been on! You did such an awesome job with the horses at camp, and let your light shine whenever I saw you working with them!! Hearing of all the ways you were able to step up in positive ways is setting you up for success, but also allowing you to see for yourself how God can do amazing things when we put our trust in Him. I hope that the trail has been good to you, and that your faith has grown in ways you’d never imagined. Know that there are people praying for you daily, and excited to see this transformation in you through the Lords amazing grace.
As I was reading one of my plans on my Bible app this morning, I read these verses and thought of you:
“He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name” Psalms 23:3 NLT

“And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.” Romans 5:4 NLT

Praying that when you are finished with this part of your journey, you will see that when you let Jesus “take the wheel”, you will be open to abundant blessings and help others find their path as well.

    Love and blessings

    -Drea

  19. Shane –

You come home today. I hope this week was amazing for you and that you learned a ton and that you grew closer to God. I hope you remember your time this week and the awesome men that gave their time to love you and teach you more about how to follow Jesus. I’m sure things weren’t always easy this week just as life isn’t always easy. Trust in God and you’ll have an amazing life journey.

    Joel
