  1. Hayes’ we are so excited to hear that you are taking this important step of joining the Ranch program. Not only has our family been praying for those involved, our son was part of the program. I can tell you from first hand experience it transformed his life. So we will be praying that you open your heart and mind to the staff and counselors that the holy spirit reaches into you and touches you in a way that you feel the opportunity. Be strong, be courageous and we pray that through Christ you can find peace!

  2. Welcome to the Ranch, Hayes! This is a week that you will never forget. I am praying for you daily for peace. You are important to this group of guys. And you know what? It’s no surprise to God that you are here, right now. How cool is it that the same God who created mountains, & oceans, & galaxies, looked at you and thought the world needed one of you too? Take a deep breath, listen to the guys in charge and take one step at a time.
One of my favorite Bible verses: “I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

  3. Hayes pushed himself on the climbing wall today! He set a few goals and was able to meet them!

  5. Hayes! So glad to hear you’re learning new things and able to push yourself just a little bit further and meet your goals – GREAT JOB, buddy! Be awesome today. You’re in my prayers. : )
    Do the best you can!

  6. Hayes after meeting you at the send off I had a special feeling about you. After hearing how you met your goals on the climbing wall I am even more inspired by you. I know this journey will provide obstacles, but I believe in you and my family keeps praying for you. We pray that you keep your heart open to this experience, hear darrin and pat and the other leaders and push yourself. My daughter said this prayer: “i hope god strengthens you and helps you to work through your struggles”

  7. Hayes had a great day. He really enjoyed Archery tag and being around the horses. Hayes is working on walking away and ignoring others that are annoying him and needs continued prayers for the courage to make this change.

    1. Hayes I am glad to hear you enjoy being around horses and like the archery tag. Stay strong when annoyed by others and keep up the good work hitting your goals. There are a lot of people praying for you, we want you to balance the fun with hard work learning and growing as you are being mentored by some great leaders. We pray that you can dig deep inside to keep working hard at this and that the holy spirit touches you and shows you the way!!!

  8. Hayes, I’m praying for you today that the Holy Spirit will give you an awareness of what you’re going to say before you say it. That you will catch yourself in time and not let unkind words escape from you. Words do hurt. I’m saying this for myself as well. How easy it is to forget – I know! Always be the bigger person.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

  12. Hayes-
It looks as though you your having a great time learning about gods grace while enjoying smores as a treat.! We are continuing to pray for you as you begin your journey of understanding god, We are all broken in some way and the beauty is that gods grace welcomes all of us as we are… with open arms. He desires us to lean on him, talk to him and have a relationship with him. Keep up the good work, I know it must be tough but you need to know that we are proud of you!

  13. Hayes , my prayer is for God to fill you with the Holy Spirit breaking any spirits that are on you. Keep the faith. Rely on Him. All things are possible with Him.

  14. Hayes – my word you guys are covering a lot of ground! I just read the daily update and it made me tired. (lol) But oh what a blast! Do you see how in everything you need balance? Time for fun & relaxation, time to listen and learn. And time spent with our precious Jesus. Store these things in your heart and learn, Hayes. We have a remarkable God that loves YOU so much. I’m praying for you!

  15. Hi Hayes! I’m sure you’re having another great adventure today with your horse and all of the other activities going on. 16. Hi Hayes
I think today is the day you leave for the hiking part of WAR. As I look to the skies in lower michigan it is mostly cloudy but I see a beam of sun shining through in one spot. It looks like the sun is shining rays through the clouds, have you ever seen that? Whenever I see this I think about the power of GOD. I want to remind you that the sun is always there, you just need to believe it when its really cloudy. The same can be said with GOD, always there, you just need to believe. And on your darkest days reach out to GOD, that is what I do. It doesn’t always seem like there is an answer, but there is and you just need to keep looking. So if it is cloudy or if the sun is out, look up and say a prayer and know GOD is there. We continue to pray for you and ask that the Holy Spirit touch you during these amazing days ahead.

  17. Hello Hayes!
“God can restore what is broken and change it into something AMAZING. All you need is faith.” Joel 2:25

    Now THAT is EPIC.
Praying for you today! ; )

  18. Praying for you and all the guys as you hit the trail today! This is a fun and challenging part of WAR, but is also very rewarding. I know that hiking with a heavy pack is really hard work, but I also know you can do this. Think of it as another one of the many challenges you will conquer in your life! The Manistee River Trail is beautiful and I hope you enjoy God’s awesome creation.
    Dwayne

  19. Hayes-

Looks like your on your final stretch of the hike and we are so proud of you and all that you have accomplished! Looking forward to seeing you at the celebration tomorrow! Keep up the wonderful work and we will continue praying for you that god continues to guide you in all that you do!
