    I am so excited for you to begin camp today. I am sure you might be a little nervous. That is completely expected. Just remember that God has chosen you to be a part of this amazing opportunity. You are going to love it. Embrace every activity. Allow yourself to have fun and learn from the staff and other campers. I will be praying for you all week. As you embark on this adventure, may you feel God working in you and through you. Have Fun!

    I want to let you know that I will be praying for you as you arrive at camp and experience all that it has to offer. I will be following along with your adventures and experiences on the blog and will pray specifically for you. I know that God will be near you and the rest of the group throughout the week.

    I hope your arrival to camp and your first night of sleep went went well. The weather has been so amazing and it looks like it’s going to continue during your week on the trail.   8. Hey Cristo – Today you met your horse – can’t wait to hear how it went for you. What an exciting time. I pray that you enjoy the fun moments but that you also allow yourself to learn from the leaders, and more importantly from God through the activities, conversations and from His word! He loves you so much.

    I really enjoyed reading about all of the fun things you and the group experienced yesterday. I think the archery tag sounds like a ton of fun. I also read that you met your horse yesterday, how exciting. I’m praying today that you will focus on the good things happening, make great choices, and really enjoy what God has placed before you.

    How was riding the horses today? I’m praying for your time this week and on the Manistee River Trail. I have been on that trail a dozen times or more. You will be amazed! I am so proud of you!

    I hope your day is going well today, it looks like you had a great time with archery and riding yesterday. It sounds like you guys are learning more and more about God through your interactions with the horses and other activities that you are doing. It’s interesting how the horse in the round pen is less distracted and more obedient to God. I think we too get distracted and i wonder what our “round pen” is. Is it the bible? Is it church? I think for me I’m much less distracted when I am in church worshipping God. Maybe that’s my “round pen”. I’m praying today that you are safe while riding horses and that you continue to have a great time.

  20. I hope the trail ride went well for you today. Encouraging others and being encouraged is so important – I’m sure you felt both as you and your horse worked together on the trail along with the other campers and staff. Remember that God is with you as you face your challenges. “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” Ephesians 3:20

  23. Hi Cristo,

    I’m praying today for endurance. Often times in life when we near the end of something it becomes tough to finish the task. It could be because of fatigue, sickness, lack of interest or a number of other reasons. I know that I experience this type of feeling daily whether it in my work day or something personal like exercising. The last hour of work, or the last mile in a run can be more challenging than the rest of the day or run was. I’m praying that you will lean on God through prayer. Pray that he will give you the strength and perseverance to push through the hike and the remainder of the week to the very end. I hope you enjoyed your week at Remembrance Ranch and that you experienced God’s presence. I Hope that you were able to develop friendships that will last a lifetime.

  24. Cristo – you did it! You persevered and made it through even though it was tough – you were tougher. Remember with God, you can handle anything. You also have been blessed with family that cares, friends that support you and many who are praying for you. One of my favorite verses when I face hard times is Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.” Thank you for letting me be involved with your time at Remembrance Ranch. God bless you.
