  2. Sophia,
Wow first day. I’m sure emotions and maybe even anxieties are high today. I’m proud of you for taking the step to start off on this journey. I can’t promise you that every moment will be easy or enjoyable, but I guarantee your overall experience will be beneficial. I’m hoping you find support and encouragement and are also able to offer that to those around you. I’m excited to hear updates about your horse time and your hiking adventure. Stay positive and open as much as possible, but also reflect and focus on your personal goals and values. You will meet amazing role models and be given great tools to use. Make the best of it and know that I’m praying for you every step of the way!

    1. Thank you for the prayers I appreciate it! It had been very weird being far from home and I am a bit nervous about what might happen so thank you for thinking of me!

Continue to push through and know that HE is with you.

  5. Hi Sophia,
I am sorry that I missed you at send-off today! I was certainly thinking about you all, and loved seeing the pictures of you and the girls piling into the van. I hope you are settling into your “home” for the next week, and are connecting with the other girls. Being away from your regular routine can be hard, and you all have to lean on each other to stay strong! I can’t wait to hear about your horse and all of the other things you get to do this week. I hope you will be willing to share with me when we hit the trail in a few days!

  6. Ah my sweet sweet Sofi…I am SO proud of you!
(You know mom is Way better at commenting and posting and “liking” things than I am, but here I am! Haha. )
You are with me everywhere I go! I am more prepared, loved, motivated, and inspired … because of you.
I am convinced that there is no such thing as coincidence.
ALL things happen for a reason! YOU happened for a reason, and I am honored blessed and elated to watch You Happen.

My Father’s Day prayer for you:
God dwells in the detail…the little things.
Take time to slow down and smell flowers, look at the stars, feel the grass in your toes. Allow Him to be what “happens” in you, to you, and through you.

    I love you So! 3!

  7. Good morning! I love you baby girl!!

I am a father because of your love…thank you for accepting my love for you and allowing me to watch you grow into a fierce woman of God!!
I want you to know that I (with a lot of help and support from mom) will take comfort in knowing you are spending our first Father’s Day apart with Our Father! May He give us both comfort today knowing that we are His children and loved beyond measure!

You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the likeness of The Creator! I am simply blessed to be along for the adventure! I pray that you accept His love for you as well, as He yearns to be along for the adventure!

Wow it sounds like so much had happened already! I’m proud of you for reaching new heights on the rock climbing wall. Way to go! You seem really brave. It’s ok to be vulnerable also if you get into uncomfortable territory away from home and work on change. Just trust that you have such positive support and guidance leading you on your path. I’m praying you are able to open up and really realize what a wonderful young woman you are turning out to be. I will continue to think good thoughts for you all week!

  15. Sofi J!!!! I am So excited you got to go on the zip line today!! Was it a bit scarier than the last time? Hope the hatchet throwing was fun too!! I got to see you briefly on the platform for the zip line, but missed the second video live – I’m sorry. I got to watch the second one and couldn’t tell if you were tired or bummed, but I want you to remember how much I love you and how incredible proud you should be of yourself for taking this on! God however, is the one who formed you before I even knew and His loving presence is with you wherever you go, sharing my love with you as well. Hold on to that throughout your day. You’re never alone, and He’s got you no matter what.
I’ll be on tomorrow and Wednesday for the live videos too though so I’ll be looking for your beautiful smile!! Missing our bedtime chats so say an extra little prayer tonight and I will too, and have sweet dreams tonight sweet girl. I love you! – Momma xoxoxo

  17. Good morning beautiful!! Sounds like you’ve had an eventful morning already! Love reading the blog and seeing all the photos 😊 You have some love coming in from the littles:
Frankie Jean says, “I love you and I really miss you but I’ve been sleeping in our room like a big girl and didn’t get scared at all. I’m excited for you to get home so we can maybe play with Barbies or something and you’ll be back with me because I love you.”
Isaiah says, “love you Sophie!!!” *loud monster noise* *blows kisses*
Keep shining beautiful girl. We love you!!!!!

  18. Hey Sophia, I am amazed at all you have accomplished and conquered so far on this camping journey. I continue to lift you up in prayer and know that HE is with you. I love reading of all the incredible things you are doing. It makes me smile knowing you are growing in your faith and bonding with other young women. Keep up the good work and push into all God has for you. Lifting you up to the King of Kings and believing the best for you!

  19. Sophia,
Wow I’m impressed with all of your uplifting messages on here. You truly have so much support. I’m sure the team building exercises help highlight how important it is to truly help others. Hang on to that as you reflect and really start working on your personal goals. Praying you keep a positive open mind and adventurous spirit as you continue to push yourself into new territory.

  20. Sofie has a sense of joy and humor that no one can take away from her. Every day she brings that energy and is excited for every event. With that excitement we have seen some lack of focus but by challenging her we have seen her working towards those goals. In horses riding and other activities she is completely locked in and is striving to do her best.

    1. Glad to see goals being set and encouraged! This is certainly an area we struggle with and will be more diligent in doing at home as well. Mom needs to get better at this too Soph’; we’ll make it a team effort 😉 Thank you so much for sharing Shelby!! 😊

  21. Happy Wednesday morning to you! I’m so excited to see what God has in store for you today. In praying for you this morning I felt led to pray that the Lord would meet you at every step and corner, path and hill you arrive at. Be at Peace today and continue to push through, knowing HE goes with you! I love reading about your progress every day! Keep up the good work Miss Sophia!

  22. It sure has been nice to see your face the last few days, but this morning was especially moving (yeah I cried lol) I love you so much and am so very excited that you are on this journey with such a wonderful, positive attitude. Remember to slow down for yourself, and for deeper connection with your team. I know you and I are always going a mile a minute in our minds and it shows through our constant busyness, but especially during the trail you’re going to want to be focused on your team and and your surroundings.
One of my favorite Psalms is Psalm 46…you know this one 😉 It’s a song that I believe is meant to fill us with hope and trust in God’s gracious presence. It begins, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble” Ps46:1…..it continues, “God is within her, she will not fall.” Ps46:5….finally, it continues, “He says, be still, and know that I am God” Ps46:10.
These are great, even simple reminders of why we can and should trust in Him, and also praise Him because we are thankful for the power that only He has and can provide us throughout each and every day. When you start to feel afraid or overwhelmed, or distracted, just be still and listen for His prompting, an inner calm that gently eases your mind.

I don’t know if you’ll get to respond to messages after tonight, so I’ll keep my eyes and ears out for updates on the blog and Facebook – but you’ve got this girl! You were born for adventure and exploration – so take these next few days to enjoy that, and really tune in to your team, stay alert for leaders instructions, support one another, and take time to fully connect with our Creator.
Sorry I wrote a book, consider this your long distance bedtime chat 🥰 I love you and miss you and can’t wait to see you on the other end. Littles send their love and Frankie is counting down the days lol. Izzy saws rawr ❤️ Sweet dreams tonight sweet girl – Momma xoxoxo

        1. Lol I’m so sorry, I didn’t even realize how long it was until I submitted it. A little excessive. I love you 😘 🤣

  23. Message from Gram on Facebook ♥️

Sophia Jade ~ Gram is covering you in prayer and the Lord is with you EVERY step of the way. He WILL lead and guide you. xoxoxox

  24. Hi…my name is Gretchen and I’m a friend of many of the leaders. I’ve been praying for you and the team this week. I started a new job and I’m alone cleaning houses for 8 hours straight… so it’s plenty of time to talk to God about you this week. I got creative today and thought of an acrostic poem about your hike:
T – trying to trust others
    R – recognize & receive Him
    A – all around me
    I – imperfect but whole
L – learning to be me

  25. I am inspired reading about your great energy, humor and joy. It sounds like a great combination of personality traits. Hopefully you will share that light and love as a leader with your upcoming hike. Please know I’m praying for you to focus and find new strengths you didn’t even know you had. This path can be truly transformative and I know you are completely capable of the physical and personal challenges you’ll face. You will NEVER forget the obstacles you’re about to overcome, so be strong and proud and stay open. 🙏

  26. I Love You Sofi Jade!!!!!
Remember, especially going into tomorrow…you’re doing this FOR yourself but not BY yourself!
Keep close! Work together! Let GOD be your trail guide! HE is with you always! And as your father here on earth I have been blessed with the same … I too am always with you!
    ❤️YourFace!

  27. So, today you embark on an incredible journey that you are MORE than ready to do. Keep in mind you are not doing this alone. HE is with you and all of our prayers go along with you too. Use this time to sink into all GOD has for you. He will enable you to do this and so much more. HE will provide all you need. Lean into him if things get tough.

May you feel HIS presence with you at all times and be the overcomer HE made you to be. In Christ’s name! Amen

  28. Good morning Miss Sofi! Happy Friday and first day of Summer! I continue to pray for you and know that you are learning so much about yourself, others, and most importantly you loving Savior. I pray that today you continue to push into all that you can while you and there and push into HIM as well. You are quite a remarkable young woman. Keep up the good work Sophia!

  29. Almost 6 hours since my last post and you have been on my mind. Have a glorious day with the Lord and your friends. Hang in there and keep keeping on. You can do this!!!

  30. Oh my lanta, we LOVE and miss you big time but we always get excited to look at the pics together – can’t wait for you to share your experiences!! Praying often throughout the day for all of you – for strength and perseverance and confidence in HIS LOVE in all the bumps and victories. Praising Him for every moment♥️♥️♥️ See you soon sweet girl! -Momma xoxoxo

  31. Holy cow! As I prayed for you today I had a BIG smile on my face! I KNOW God is working in you and around you. I love looking at the pics of you all as you press on toward the goal! Praying that you finish out this camping trip strong and courageous! The Lord our God is with you. HE is mighty to save! He rejoices over you with singing. Zeph 3:17 He loves you and has the perfect plan for your life.

  32. Sofie,
I know you might not have service to check in each night right now, but I are am praying extra hard during your whole hike. I pray you stay strong for all those miles and enjoy nature along the way. Continue to cooperate and work together. The next clear night just think instead of wishing upon a star, you can pray to the one that created them all. ✨⭐🌟🌠

  33. Less than 24 hours left little lady!! You girls are incredible!! Love you so much and can’t wait to see you tomorrow 🥰🙏🏽

  34. Well, sweet girl, your journey at the Ranch is coming to an end. I know you have grown so much this past week. I also know you will be happy to go home and be with your family. Although I don’t know you, I know HIM. And, I believe you know HIM better. May you continue to grow in your Faith and know your IDENTITY is in Christ. His great love with go with you and grow with you every where you go. Don’t let the world you are coming back to creep in and steal all that you have taken in while being at camp. Blessings to you and I will continue to pray. Sending Jesus hugs to you Miss Sophia.
