  6. Hello, Sabria!
What was the word you picked out for your bracelet? It will help me to pray for you!
I like the message on joy– this is a virtue the world could use more of these days!
What was it like to be with the horses?
Fun fact: the last time I rode a horse was 28 years ago at Cran Hill Ranch. Yehaw!

I’m lifting you up in prayer!

    1. Hey Wade! Thank you so much for the kind messages, i appreciate it a lot. The word that i chose for my bracelet was Strong, i chose this word for many reasons.
      The horses here are incredible.
      thank you for your prayers.

  7. Sabria,

Hey there, you don’t know me very well but I will be joining you this year on the hike as a Weekend Warrior. I am so looking forward to meeting you and spending 4 days in God’s country with you and the other girls/staff!

I, personally, have never been hiking, like we are about to and have to admit I am a little nervous about the experience. I am having to rely on my faith in God to help me to get through some of my super anxious moments! Aleena’s mom posted something that reminded me to remember my faith in God. I hope if you are ever in a moment of struggle that this helps you as much as it helped me. The quote is: “I have amazing potential, I can make good choices, I am never alone, I can do hard things, I am beautiful inside and out, I am of great worth/value, He has a plan for me, I know who I am, I am a daughter of God!”

You see Sabria, God already loves you and me and all people just the way we are!!!!! He sees our beauty and knows of our potentials. He puts us in places and experiences to help us grow and learn about the daughter’s we are supposed to be……..this is awesome!!!!!!

These words also come from the Bible, they remind me that if I take a breath, give my worries/fears to God, slow down and work on calming my mind and body, eventually God speaks to me. He gives me ideas or I run into somebody that ends up teaching me a lesson through their story……..the point is if you allow God to speak to you, He will, then you don’t have to be so anxious!!!!!!

As a returning camper, I know you got this girl!!!! My prayer for you, is that you will grow more in your relationship with God and learn just how amazing you are through God’s eyes, this week at camp! I also pray for you to continue challenging yourself so that you can discover more wonderful things about YOU!!!! See you soon!!!!!! Love you girl!!!!

    -Wendy Heath:)

    1. thank you so much, there are times i feel anxious and just full of doubts, but i know i have to have faith in god and trust him with my all. thank u for ur prayers i am excited for u to join us. love sabria.

  8. Girl, you looked good up on your horse!!!! So confident and relaxed!!!!! That rocks!!!! I pray for you to continue to find your confidence this week Sabria….it looks great on you!!!!!!!!

  9. Hi honey, you look like you had a lot of fun so far. How did you like archery? What’s your horse’s name? Did you make any new friends. I keep missing the lives because of my new 3rd shift sleep schedule but we watch the videos and look at the pictures everyday. Gavin is so proud of you and has to tell everyone how his big sister is in war camp playing with horses and putting lids off good in her heart. Im really proud of you to. Everyone is. Grandpa said good job with the horses and archery. Bryce said hi. We love you very much and we hope today is a good day.
    Love mom

  10. Hey Bri!!!! So first…my tattoo already washed off and I had to giggle when my hubby asked about my new tattoo! I loved being able to spend the day with you ladies and am super thankful for your advice when riding the horses!!! I’m so glad I had the chance to get to know you a bit more when you also helped me with my mask creativity. We never did have our chat at the beach so I look forward to the chances we will have to meet throughout this next year. I will be praying for you as you leave this morning on the hike. Praying for God to give you strength, endurance, and joy in this part of the adventure. Have a blast and I will see you Sunday when you all arrive back home!

  11. Sabria,
Day two of the hike and I heard it was a tough one.
I’m praying that the word on your bracelet comes true!
May you find strength in God to chase the challenges ahead of you.
Here’s a bible verse: “The Joy of the Lord is my strength” comes from Nehemiah 8. It means that YOU are God’s joy, that he sees YOU as his joy– and that gives you strength.
What gives God joy is what gives you strength. And now that #1 on his list of things that gives him joy is YOU!

I’ll continue to pray for you as you hike and grow!

  12. Sabria,
Just think of how far you’ve come since a week ago when you arrived at the church parking lot. You’ve experienced so much!

I have been praying that your word on your bracelet holds true! Be strong in the Lord!

  13. Hi sabria! I hope everything is going well for you :). Please know that I am continuing to pray for you! Sounds like You are doing well in school and have been working really hard using your coping skills! Keep it up.

  14. Sabria– hope that all is well! Hope that you continue to remember camp and all of the growth and changes you made! It’s easy to fall back into old habits but a quick reminder always helps to take us back to what we can be!

I pray that you keep growing in your faith as a child of God!

  15. Sabria– it was good to see you at the Halloween party. Hope you had a good time!

Did you get the opportunity to light one of the Chinese lanterns? My original thought was that we would write prayers on these and then launch them into the night sky– things were a bit chaotic, so we didn’t do so. What prayers would you have written on the lantern if you could have?
    Hope you are doing well!

  16. Hi Sabria!
I was happy to see you at the haunted trail a few weeks ago! I know you had to leave early but so glad you came. I’m so sorry to hear about your Great-Grandma, I will pray for continued comfort for you and your family. I heard you had to take classes virtually due to COVID this past month. This COVID stuff is really hard isn’t it? I work in the school and I am on eggshells daily not knowing if we will be online soon. One thing I can tell you is to use your supports. I know it’s so hard to learn remotely but it’s so important that you try the best you can to show up 🙂
I find doing the same morning routine that I would do if I was face to face sometimes helped.
Remember, just because we mess up doesn’t mean moving forward is not an option. I use this phrase with my students: “FAILING is just another word for GROWING” and “ Whether you think you CAN or you think you CAN’T you’re right.” I mess up all the time Bri its important to remember that we aren’t perfect. I believe in you. I will continue to pray for you to “GROW” because you “CAN”

  17. Hi Sabria,
Im so happy to hear that you are doing better on remote learning. We also had to move to remote and I agree it’s hard. I had to make a little office for myself away from distractions 🙂 I will continue to pray for your heart to heal with the loss of your Great-Grandma. I hope you have a great holiday season!

  18. Merry Christmas, Sabria!
I think I saw you on our Christmas zoom meeting –was your camera turned on?
I hope you are able to get some rest from the virtual learning time– no more screens and no more schoolwork!
In this Christmas season I am praying that you hear God speak to you– that he loves you and that YOU are HIS best Christmas gift!

  19. Hey Bri!
I have been thinking about you and hope you are doing well. I will be praying that your heart is open to new friendships. I know it must be hard when the friends we feel are our “people” disappoint us or go in a direction that we know is not healthy. We will go through these tough times but remember they are a part of growing in our faith. God wants us to stop depending on ourselves only but to rely on him and to remove anything that keeps us from fully trusting him. My devotion today read “beyond our brokenness there are blessings, so wait expectantly, with confident hope. You got this Bri!

When He tests me, I will come out as pure gold (Job 23:10)
